Mr. Zou is the Senior Partner and Founder of Sinowing Law, LLP in Beijing. He specializes in Cross-Border investments in all areas of the process including Initial Public Offerings (IPO), Reverse Takeovers (RTO), Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), Project Financing, Distressed Asset Restructuring, Management Buyouts (MBO), Foreign Direct Investments (FDI). With more than 12 years and over 80 different completed transactions, Mr. Zou brings a depth of knowledge to the table. As an experienced arbitrator, he handled a number of high profile investment related arbitration and litigation cases. Additionally, Mr. Zou, spent over six years working hands directly in business and diplomatic experiences.
As Senior Partner, Mr. Zou leads the Mining and Merger & Acquisition teams. His attention and involvement in monitoring this area for legislative developments over a decade provides clients with particular expertise. Mr. Zou does not and is not entitled to practise law in British Columbia but assists us in various matters.
Zou is an executive member of the Cross-Border Transaction Committee of All China Lawyers’ Association. The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (MOFTEC, previously MOFCOMM) awarded him the title, “Master of International Business.”
He also speaks frequently at Mine and Money Asia, China Mining Conferences, Asia Nonferrous Dialogue, TeleChina Investment Forum and other events. Mr. Zou is a graduate of Renmin University and has extensive experience working with common law in London and elsewhere.
Mr. Zou’s experience covers exit strategies at stock exchanges including NASDAQ, TSX, Frankfurt, Hong Kong and a number of other markets as well as Private Equity and Venture Capital investments in early growth stage companies.
