Yuji is a lawyer specializing in Canadian immigration law. His immigration practice covers a range of matters including work permits, study permits, visitor visas, business visitors, Labour Market Impact Assessments, Provincial Nominee Programs, Express Entry, permanent residence, family class sponsorships, and inadmissibility issues.

Yuji also provides services in other practice areas such as corporate and commercial law, will and estates, real estate transactions, business transactions, and employment law.

Yuji received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Victoria in 2011. After law school, he studied at Kyushu University in Fukuoka, Japan where he earned a Master of Laws degree in International Economic and Business Law in 2012. His time as a graduate student of law included an internship with the Hague Conference on Private International Law in The Hague, Netherlands.

Yuji was called to the Bar in British Columbia in 2014. He practised immigration law in Vancouver at both a national/global law firm and an immigration boutique law firm before joining Remedios & Company as an associate in May, 2017.

Prior to studying law and embarking on his professional legal career, Yuji studied Modern Japanese Literature and Film at the University of Victoria, earning a Master of Arts degree. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Asian Studies from the University of British Columbia.

Yuji is active in the local Japanese community through his involvement in various organizations. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Greater Vancouver Japanese Canadian Citizens’ Association (GVJCCA), a non-profit organization representing and serving the Japanese Canadian community.
